Motel Rocks beach blocks

In LOVE with all of Motel Rocks' late summer stock, especially their Elephant Parade line,  my god believe me it's all gorgeous. Ready to replace our non-existent hotness with a blast of safari. As soon as I saw it I fell in love and promptly ordered this dress like BAM. These photos were shot in my favourite beachy location on Monday. By some miracle we managed to snap in sun for half an hour, the rainfall that had been raging all day then re-started shortly afterwards. You can also see me bitching about the British weather in my Instagram video, here.  Couldn't help doing a rather stylish litter patrol with Skinny-dip London as their pesky orange juice cartons kept circling round the shore.

Know it's off topic but has anyone seen Inside Man? It's such a top film, one that gets you thinking for so long afterwards. Clive Owen is such a badass in it, and yes, Spike Lee is director *applause*. So many twists and turns and a plot that gets you confused, spaced-out and wondering if you watched right. Definitely worthwhile if you haven't seen already, and if you do see let me know your thoughts. If you don't like it of course, then I don't want to know your thoughts. Joke....

Back to Motel Rocks rocking the beach blocks, I've got to mention that I currently caved on a cactus top, and am weighing up whether to buy ALL the elephant epicness (yes, still going on about it). In true Soph style I set some peachy orange ombre against the tone of the dress. Unfortunately it wasn't as bold as I hoped but it's all trial and error. Kevin Murphy was all over my legs (minds out the gutter) with the colour bug I used; it looked like I'd fake tanned (hell no, maybe on the twelfth of bloody never). I've bought a green lipstick now, so maybe green ombre can be my next move? Whilst wearing the cactus top, course.

Superdry & The Style Rawr festival fashion competition

For my entry I wanted to go for tropical rainbow hues with a touch of sequin, denim and reflective rock and roll shade involved. Dip dye vibes couldn't be left off ;) It's hard to hit that level of trend/comfort/casual for any sure fire festival you're hitting up, but Superdry have so many versatile, seasonal pieces that guarantee you can face any festival be it in stunning sunshine or vicious rainfall.

How gorgeous is the rainbow sweat? I'm in adoration of the pretty pastel hues it's casting, and likewise, the palm print bag would fit in all your essentials. The denim jacket has such a unique, boho edge to it AND don't even get me started on the sequin shoes. I've never actually been to a festival in my 25 years on Planet Earth would you believe? One day, one day! And now I know what I'd wear!

Make sure you check out the bae The Style Rawr girls for more of their rawr-some awesome festival inspo! If you want to enter the comp yourself, you here. What you waiting for, it's a good 'un!

Alimony, Alimony

Thought I'd be a daredevil and make this ootd a full blown blogpost seeing as one snapshot got a good reaction over on IG. Rebel without a cause. Or with a cause? I'm exhausted from defending Kanye to the public, namely some poor guy in Starbucks who thought I was taking the mick when I proclaimed KW was my "God". Amongst our yearning for Yeezy and overall awe for his genius I reckon we're long overdue a bodyguard ass kicking gig Rawr Girls. Watch out world, we're rocking the black leather pants! Most people get hyperactive over global warming, politics or what to have for dinner, but I can safely say you hate on Kanye West, Spike Lee or Starbucks and I'm on ya.

Talking Starbucks, anyone else crushing on cool lime refreshers as much as me? My blood's got to be green. It's gotta be! My body mass made up of 20% water, 80% cool lime. Just call me Green Blooded Girl. My heart is going to shatter all over the synthetic flooring when the cool limes go into hibernation for winter. All those toss-pot spice, cinnamon and mulled drinks get my blood boiling (and no doubt turning back to red). Seriously though, the Starbucks addiction is in full force, I'm visiting the place every single damn day.

Lastly, on my mind; liking the cold shoulders of this top, and the blue tones. Loving the fact that the X Factor is due to return in a few weeks. Eeep. Hating that Grimshaw is a judge. WTF? But hey hey! We've got that sweetheart Mr Murs co-hosting the show. Damn, I do love him a little (a lot).

I wanna hear all about your favourite Starbucks drinks, X Factor feelings, current obsessions, the lot!

Flying fashionably

Striking it right for that important flight is definitely a tough one. Go in glorified glamour but face an uncomfortable journey? Or swag it out in sweats feeling rather rough and ready? I reckon it's all about cruising on the right side of casual but on a slightly stylish (Starbucks-y) slope. Safe to say, keeping it casually stylishly cool for that air time is always a big question on any fashion blogger's lips, so when Purple Parking got in touch asking what my in flight essentials would be, I couldn't wait to get started...

Starbucks tee (Etsy) - Joggers (Topshop) Converse (Office)

Starbucks style

A cute slogan vest is always an upbeat way of keeping things controlled and cool, no matter how frenetic the flight. I'm crushing hard on this Starbucks beaut, my name should be Soph "Starbucks" Sierra, and I preach what I wear, ya hear?

Space dye sweats

If you know me well, you'll know my love of space, stars and all that shizz knows no bounds. Space dye has to be up there as one of my all time favourite prints, and these Topshop joggers are relaxed and spacious enough to give you the extra leg room skinny jeans would scowl at.

All white Converse

Most Converse addicts I know have that little bit more love for the infamous white pair. Love them or hate them, you've got to admit they blaze up the babe trail come summertime. They definitely have to be my all time favourite brand of trainer, hitting the depths of cool harder than most brands, and I can't imagine any flight being as chilled or as comfy without them!

Clouds above

I'll admit I bought this gorgeous rainbow reminder to help me with my motivo, and I haven't started writing in it yet. It's a daily journal where you jot down a few aims on a morning, afternoon and evening basis and you can write down a "Today's Treat" to reward yourself. If I was flying high I'd have no excuse not to fill it with inspiration, surely being clouds above would set off the inspo....

Beach Don't Kill My Vibe!

A catchy iphone mantra to get all the other passengers jelly will amuse you for hours on end. Just make sure they don't blast their green vibes onto you. Then you'll have green kill vibes? No?

Divine Doughnuts

An edible laptop case? Hell to the yeah! This is so eye-catchingly, achingly cute for any long haul!

Cake away

If the beach is too bittersweet and you want to get your sugar high, go for this out of this world cupcake case instead. Guaranteed to have you dreaming of all those holiday treats to come......

Get glowin'

I always enjoy killing a bit of time on a long haul by doing a bit of beachy make-up in anticipation arrival. This Topshop Glow highlighter will give you a gorgeously grecian tinge mid-flight.

Roll with Rimmel

Likewise, this punchy pink pout will make you the boldest babe on the plane. Babe on a Plane?

Ombre vibes

However subtle, you've gotta have a bit of ombre in your hand luggage. A brush is always an essential, especially when you're finishing off your last bit of make up ready to step off the plane!

Sit Tight!

Stretching your legs is a must, so whilst doing that, give this cooling serum a go. You've got the time!

Feeding off the love of the land

Standing with sunflowers, wearing sunflowers, shaded by sunflowers. Just love it, one of the happiest days. Damn, one of my favourite summery Saturday shoots of all time! Had to bloom it back to life.

Stealing all the love and the beauty from the land
Yes we are feeding off the love of the land
Never hearing what he's saying
