Prepping for that important job interview!

Looking at jobs online with City Calling is a pretty awesome way of finding the right one for you; all you need to do it hit up their website and create a profile. City Calling will then find suitable jobs that are tailored to you and your skills and send the relevant roles straight to your inbox. Helpful for many of us who want a simple, effective and fruitful job seeking process.

Once you get that important interview, it's time to get your wardrobe wondrous for work. Usually the dreaded what to wear dilemma always hits me hard, so below I've put together a few fierce, fashion
forward pieces. I was struck with all the gorgeous black and gold overtones around this season, so without further ado let's get you in the right mind-set for bagging that stylishly sought after role!

Accentuate accessories with edge

Black and gold are two of the classiest colours in my opinion. From mid to late summer onwards you can't beat a few Autumnal hints in your workwear. These pieces are all strikingly stand-out, yet slickly smart with a glorified professional edge. Zara & ASOS have got the gold goods for sure.

Mesmerise in monochrome

White and black may be the old school hues for interviews, but if you keep them fresh, tailored, and on just the right side of innovative then you're definitely gonna get you some respect from boss lady! Leather jeans are smart enough to get away with if you pair them with a clean white blazer. Stripes aren't always the kind of print you immediately associate interviews with, but this River Island piece is serious enough to be professionally unique and make the most memorable imprint on the mind.

 Sassy little essentials

Killer essentials that may remain unnoticed during the interview might seem insignificant, but if they make you feel that bit more confident beforehand, then that's still just as important! Nothing's better than having a few moments of calm to jot down notes in a book, and how classily beaut is the Little Gold Book? Love! And don't get me started on the Kat Von D-esque gothic mirror compact...

  7. Oh my goodness, Zara's bags and shoes will be the death of my bank balance. Those lace-ups and the clutch are right up my alley! I love all your choices here - totally interview appropriate but with a wonderful dash of personality too. Oh, and I'll take the gold notebook thank you, so in love with that! x

  8. Actually never heard of City Calling but will be sure to check it out - in desperate need of some career inspiration at the moment:') Your picks are so perfect! I'm always stuck between looking overly formal and slightly too casual so will usually err on the side of caution and feel like I'm ridiculously overdressed.. Monochrome is of course my one true love and these pieces tick that box so perfectly, especially liking the white blazer as a fresh alternative to black. Those shoes are also to die for, if only my heel-wearing-walk was more elegant :')
